The latest book by Dr. Ying Xu, along with co-authors Drs. J. David Puett and former lab member Juan Cui, Cancer Bioinformatics has been published by Springer.
Lexiang Ji was first author on a paper that was recently published by Frontiers in Genetics. The paper, linked below, is titled, Methylated DNA is over-represented in whole-genome bisulfite sequencing data.

Graduate student Dong Zhang has been awarded the 2014 Ying Xu Award for his paper “CSGRqtl, a Comparative Quantitative Trait Locus Database for the Saccharinae Grasses”. The Institute of Bioinformatics is very proud of this accomplishment and sends our congratulations to Dong.
Shaying Zhao receives NCI grant to discover cancer drivers with man’s best friend
Shaying Zhao has received a five year $1.5 million grant from the National Cancer Institute to identify colorectal cancer driver genes using a novel dog-human comparative genomics and oncology approach.
